Challenge done!

Well - that was a challenge but do you know what i discovered?  I have way to much "STUFF" lol. - shh don't tell my husband!
And in this page I also used some bits that I brought when Making memories was "the thing to have"  not that they are not now just that it was the "in" thing - probably the only company we know back then.  We all got together and brought a heap of it in from the states as back then there was not many scrap book shops and nothing much online in New Zealand by a long shot!
Here is my ORIGINAL (Beck did you read that?) layout:

I used some Dusty Attic chipboard clocks, Bo Bunny clock cut out of paper, making memories metal words inked black with staz on, Tim Holtz grungeboard keys inked black, the paper is Bo bunny, the metal clock is from Embellish It, and the ribbon stuff is prima.  All older stuff and all from my stash lol!

To answer Janine's question about what his group was to make - this was purely an excercise but they had chosen glow in the dark tent ropes - I think this would be an awesome idea - save tripping over them going out to the loo in the dark!

And Trace - I think he was so surprised that our friend Dianne that worked in the office at his school would have her camera with her in her handbag lol - Dianne was trying to get it done discretly for him rofl.

Sadly it is my last day on holiday - WHERE did the week go?  I managed to do lots, and lots of nothing!  No many sleep in's as my mother rang most mornings at 8.30am - What the? I guess it is a sleep in because usually I would be starting work - but I wouldn't have gone to bed at 11am - but I love her all the same.
I had Jo, my dad and his two little sisters (camp auntie - finally camp de brief lol) over for lunch on Thursday which was lovely.
And i have kept my dad very busy with little jobs here at the house and SPARKY has been so finally we have power to all of the house!

Tonight Jo and I are taking Abby and two of her friends to the Harry Potter movie (Nigel and Jamie are leaving home because the girls are staying for the night- they will GIGGLE the all night!) and then it will be the weekend - holiday over - really you NEED two weeks lol.

Thanks for stopping bye - have a great weekend!

A new Challenge!

Dianne was lovely enough to take a photo at School of Jamie who as part of his Accounting class had to dress the part for his "role" in the company that their group had set up.  He was the CEO of the company and so had to dress like one.  He got his dads good pants on and jacket, used his school white shirt, a tie and his school shoes (although they needed a good clean!).  Put his power point presentation which was on his laptop into a brief case and he was good to go!
As usual in our house and school days - I was in such a rush I didn't get a photo - so Dianne thank you so much for thinking like a scrapbooker and getting me a photo - I was stoked when it came through.
Here is the photo of Jamie
So being that I am on holiday this week, I told Dianne that I would scrap it - I have challenged myself to get this scrapped - that's right scrap a page lol if I can remember how!
That being said I have made a couple of cards so will show you:

This one I am entering in the southern girls Challenge - I remember playing t-sets with my friends and I also have a tea set for Jamie & Abby when they were young - so much fun pretending!

Well that's about it from me - see you back in a bit (probably a lot) with the layout done of Jamie

Thanks for stopping on bye

40 is the new 30 right?

Well a couple of weeks ago I celebrated my 40th Birthday and while it is just another day and my age doesn't worry me in the least - I have to say thanks to my family and friends I had a fantastic day!

I had lunch with the scrap girls and my running partner at the old bank and it was very yummy!  The girls spoilt me rotten here is a couple of pictures of what I received that was "hand made"
Diane did this lovely bottle of wine holder - the photo does not do it justice and I was running out of light to take more photos but if you head over to Diane's blog you will find more pictures:
Bo Made this stunning card - she really should have her own blog to showcase her own work - aye BO!  Bo coloured the image many weeks ago and I loved it so I told her that was mine lol - and it came in this stunning card!

And Jo made this one, which is AWESOME as last year I got a birthday card in December lol - Jo you have set the standard now!

Jo also has more pictures on her blog if you would like to have a look!

I was also surprised later that evening when I went to Mum and Dad's for a quiet tea that some of the girls and their partners or children where at mum's for a pot luck tea complete with birthday cake - luckily with a number 40 candle instead of 40 candles - that would have set off the fire alarm!

I am truly blessed to have a loving family and amazing friends who make every day special but this particular day even more so :-) Thank you to each and every one of you.

I also won a prize of a couple of blogs and I didn't take a photo of Janine's wonderful wrapping but this is what I got in the mail the day before my birthday:
I have used both the garlic holder and skin taker offer lol but am yet to use my book - this is going to be so helpful though - I need to trawl through it before doing the groceries so I can have the cupboard stocked ready!  Check out Janine's blog for feedback on some of the recipe's that she has already tried!
Also Janine makes her own skin care - go and check her out!

I have also made a couple of cards and been to the Embellish It day scrap last weekend - so a bit more to catch you up on - when I can find some time and daylight to get the photos!

Have a great week everyone and thanks so much for calling
